Travel, Accommodation, Price of Holiday, Booking Conditions and Arrangements, Additional Travel services

Parish Holidays are operated and administered in association with Highway Trust Ltd., in succession to the Central Board of Finance of the Church of England.

All enquiries should be addressed to the contact details below under 'How to Book'

1. TRAVEL
To England
Your Parish Holiday will probably form part of a longer stay in the United Kingdom or on the continent of Europe, and travel between your home country and the UK will form part of the package arranged for you by your local agent.

2. ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is provided in your host and hostess’s home which might turn out to be a farm house, modern bungalow, manor house or thatched cottage - but in whichever case will be comfortable, attractive and well-appointed.

3. PRICE OF HOLIDAY
The full price of the Parish Holiday is:
- In the United States - 1399 US$
- In Canada - 1575 C$
- In Australia - 1580 A$
- In New Zealand - 1999 NZ$

This includes all accommodation and meals in the Parish, excursions, visits, entrance fees, restaurant and pub meals, etc., as specified in the individual itineraries. Everything is all inclusive - there are no hidden extras and the only additional expenditure relates to personal items such as casual refreshments and gifts.

The right is reserved to increase the price in Dollars if there should be a marked adverse movement in the rate of exchange.

4. BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS

A non refundable deposit of 10% of the full cost of the Parish Holiday is payable to your agent at the time of booking. A confirmation will then be sent to you by the agent, and a copy of this will be forwarded to the English Headquarters of Parish Holidays who will inform the Parish. The Parish concerned will then write to you to establish friendly contact, and to ascertain any personal preferences.

The balance of payment is due to the agent six weeks prior to the commencement of the Parish Holiday (the agent will inform you about payment dates in respect of any other arrangements).

The minimum cost of cancellation is the equivalent of the deposit payment, but if the cancellation is notified less than six weeks prior to the Parish Holiday starting date, additional charges have to be made. A detailed statement of the total expenses involved will be issued and notified via the agent to all persons who cancel.

5. INSURANCE

Insurance is a wise precaution and we recommend all travellers to insure against accident and illness, and the loss of money and baggage. As the deposit is not refundable we also advise you to consider cancellation insurance.Your travel agent will give you details on request. In this connection it should be noted that neither the organisers of “Parish Holidays”, the individual parishes, nor the hosts themselves will be liable for any claim resulting from injury or ill-health.

For your own sake and for the comfort of other guests - you must be fit and healthy to travel. Remember that there is an active itinerary. If you do have a physical disability, use a wheelchair or are undergoing medical treatment, you must let us know in writing when you make your booking. We may ask your doctor to fill out our questionnaire if we need further information . If you wish to use a wheelchair at any time, including at the airport, you must travel with a companion fit and able to assist you.
